Grade 7’s this term have been focussing on renewable energy in Tasmanian and the advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro compared to the use of fossil fuels. When students return to Burnie High we are going to be using the STELR renewable energy kits to plan and conduct investigations into the most effective ways to generate energy from renewable sources.

Grade 7’s this term have been focusing on measurement. They have been finding the area and volume of shapes. When students return to Burnie High we are going to be working on patterns and algebra, with the focus on identifying patterns, using tables and creating graphs on a Cartesian plane.
